Possets^TM Perfumes

Omnium, the Featured New Year Fragrance.

When I was a child I used to relish the scent of a department store perfume counter. It was everything they carried mingled into one luscious smell. I have decided to recreate that by having the fun of presenting everything I have done in the past year in one bottle and naming it "Omnium". Omnium 2006 will have a limited run of 50 bottles and then that will be it, never to be created again. I plan on doing this every year to celebrate the new calendar.

I am not the only company to do this. A paint manufacturer, Gamblin, scrapes out their machinary at the end of the year and puts all of the pigments into a vat and grinds them up. The resulting color is a grey called "Torrit Grey" and it's extremely useful as a modifier of other colors because it contains them all. Why not do that with scent? Though Omnium is intended to be good in and of itself and not to only modify another perfume. Omnium will be classified as a Posset and not a Posset Natural. It will be $15/bottle because it will be natural and man made ingredients and carrier oils. I suspect it will be a wonderful home scent as well as a personal perfume, and that it will bear the unmistakable stamp of Possets in its unique character.

The DeepWinters, when are they appearing? After Twelfth Night, that is for sure. I need some time to recoup from the great beginning of Possets. I hope to be up to speed by the second week in January, but I will certainly be sending out an e-mail announcement when the DeepWinter scents go on sale.

In general, Possets is my perfume company. All of my fragrances are original, hand blended by me, Fabienne Christenson. One of my most profound joys in life is to invent superbly imaginative gorgeous scents. My second most thrilling activity is to revisit ancient recipes and bring them up to 21st century tastes.

I make two different kinds of perfume: perfume made with modern ingredients (which I refer to as "Possets"), and 100% natural perfumes which are as certified organic as I can make them and called "Possets Naturals". Please note that I am an absolute tartar about the Naturals and they cannot have so much as one drop of anything which is: artificial, "nature identical", manmade from a lab, a blend of natural and manmade. If anything I produce has to have anything non-natural in it, it becomes a regular Posset. No if's, and's or but's: at Possets it's either natural or it isn't. Simple. You wouldn't want it any other way.
