Order number 7210 was the last one which got Bête Noire. Order number 7211 was the first one which is getting La Mère De La Bête Noire and all the rest will get it. IF YOU DON'T WANT THAT, PLEASE E-MAIL ME AND I WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY OR YOU CAN SUBSTITUTE A SAME PRICE ALTERNATE UNLESS I HAVE SHIPPED YOUR ORDER. I think you will be very happy with it, though, it is a very special blend because I knew it had to be.

In the past I have changed out Cambiennes because they do run out and I have to keep on going. This hasn't been an issue because everyone was happy with what they got (combination of luck and skill and I like to think it was skill but you know...). However, I have to make it a rule from now on that there is an element of risk involved in ordering Cambienne, it might change. Sometimes I do get an artistic urge and have to act on it right away, sometimes I do run out of things, sometimes the demand is slow and I change it and someone gets caught in the change over. I am sorry. Please note that if you want consistency, please order things from the rest of the site. I do go through a lot of trouble to be sure that things turn out the same from batch to batch. Cambienne is fickle, it might change due to its nature...it's supposed to be mutable.

I am now out of Bête Noire. Totally out. I have none to give anyone and have made the old Bête Noire into La Mère De La Bête Noire, so it has been incorporated into the latter. It does not exist any more. No. Not. Gone. Finished.

I have made La Mère De La Bête Noire, and I have to say it is glorious. You cannot get darker, thicker, more resinous and complex yet still at a harmonious whole. It is damned good. *sigh* I used some things I have been keeping for a long time on this one: aged patchouli which is more like molasses than patchouli (almost black and thick) but you can't really pick it out because I didn't slop it in, I dropped it in until I got that lovely background "noise" you can get with patchouli. I have a frankincense that I think it a dream from a great source and this one got good play here, there is a copal (again from a real good source, read not cheap) and that went in the mix as well. I am making a black musk which is very hard to describe but it is a reddish black and exceptionally full throated deep as an abandoned well and potent. I have a black tea (a real black tea essence) which is more like a paste which I had to reconstitute in oil through heat and get to a liquid before carefully putting it in and a bunch of other elements that I think are a great set of friends.

It kind of reminds me of Angelina Jolie in that remake of Beowulf where she is the Mother of Grendel (and the most beautiful thing---oo la la). Yes, that is what it is like. It does all blend together, it is not for the faint of heart but if you are a romantic, you will adore it. I bet he will too!

Please know that I am doing everything I can to push product (correctly) out the door but since I am not selling Possets in baggies, I don't have much alternative. I did make quite a few phone calls around Cincinnati...nobody has bottles in 5ml which take my special no-leak caps.

Next, Bete Noire was such a hit that I am scared I am going to run out and not be able to fill the whole group of people who want it. I decided this, which I think is not only fair but actually pretty much the Best alternative: I am going to continue to fill the orders for Bete Noire until the flask gets down to where it has to be remixed. I will make the VERY LAST Bete Noire and going to use some of the great components I have been saving for a long time for a special occasion (patchouli which is like molasses now...it was from a GREAT Indian source, too. Frankincense from my days in aromatherapy (from a place long out of business but I loved them), Vanilla I used in the smash hit last year of the Natural Angel Blends and moar. So you will really get a grand product. I will make as much as I need to finish out the orders in line and if I have any left over, I will bottle it and sell it first come first serve there too.

Honestly, people have been buying multiples of Bete Noire in 10 ml bottles so that is why it's gone down so fast. I am really trying to be fair about this all and I think I have hit on a good solution which might even let other folks have their own bottles where otherwise they would not.

I was thinking that we could put it like this: I am in the UK and got a Custom's charge of 4 pounds on a shipment worth $90. I hear that if you break down your shipments so that each one is worth less than $50 you will be safe and they won't charge you.
