Fabienne-The eponymous blend, a self portrait in perfume. Madame X-Wicked, sinful, hedonistic, and irresistable. You may not have the heart to play the femme fatale, but you can at least smell the part. Orion The first unabashedly masculine Posset, and the first of The Constellations, Orion is probably the most recognizable star set out there. Possets rendition is woody in extremis but not obnoxiously loud. Very masculinely charming, outdoors in a very sophisticated way, a hard outside with a very warm heart. This one features Oude, rare and unexpected woods and smoked vanilla. Very sexy. If it were a person, it would be Oliver Mellors from Lady Chatterly's Lover. Pomona A really special blend, Pomona is the essence of many fall harvest fruits of the earth playing on each others charms. I was amazed at how good this particular mixture of flora smelled! One clue, all of the ingredients start with a "p". Named for the goddess of the earth's fruiting. Unisex, for the patchouli lover, but patchouli haters have love it, too! Scented Gloves-In every perfumer's life you have to do a standard your way. Scented Gloves is at once a strict adherence to a classic formula and a wild departure which reflects popular taste with perfect pitch. Dry and sweet, unisex and either casual or formal, I can really live in Scented Gloves. Silver Roses You have Silver Violets, now you have Silver Roses as well. I have a silver rose pin from the city of Hildesheim in Germany and that really popped into my head before Silver Violets did! Rose, of course, with spun sugar, vanilla, musk and magic. This one will be sticking around at least through St. Valentine's Day and perhaps beyond. Silver Violets-Imagine the first violets of spring poking their heads up above a thin covering of snow and sparkling with a silvery light. Silver Violets is sweet but refreshing and welcome at any time of the year. Particularly reviving in the heat of summer months. Though violet scents are rather rare anymore, their popularity is enjoying a new vogue. I am particularly proud of this interpretation of this charming blossom. A very popular scent. Ultramarine Blue This IS Ultramarine Blue! I was thrilled and I hope you are, too. Chilly but just holding the faintest promise that spring will come again, the color of the madonna's robes or lapis lazuli or the border of violet but yet blue as the apex of the firmament. Blue musk makes it's first appearance at Possets, of course the finest lavender has to hold up its end of the blend, with Black Vanilla (yes!), and flowers and citrus. Really, I almost wept when I got this one right. It is definitely going to become part of the color palette and a permanent addition to Possets, but it deserves a proper introduction among the DeepWinter offerings.
