Re: California-Sunshine in a Bottle (USA collection)

Its the Fourth of July, so I thought what better way to celebrate than with this sample of California, which is my home state! In the vial it smells mostly like orange, but on my skin the honey takes front and center, blooming over and mellowing out the orange. Its a warm, golden scent, which feels ...

Re: Alabama-Creamy Sweet Flower Bower

I finally wore this for the first time yesterday, after its been in my stash a year. It seemed like it was time! This is a lovely floral. It reads like it could wear very heavy, very cloying, but it stays light, playful, and almost a little abstract. I am glad I have this bottle as it will be fun to...

Re: Indigo

Indigo is perfectly named. A deep, mighty lavender, gently kissed by vanilla and spice. Its deep, and powerful without being overwhelming. It perfectly conjures indigo the color for me. And thats amazing out of a smell. I wore it today in the pouring rain, and I must say that it and rain smell fanta...

Re: Silver Roses

This is a lush rose, sugared and sent out into the world to delight us all. This was a sexy and yet playful scent, beautiful on a warm day.

Re: What should I wear today?

I had a job interview today (it went really well!) and I thought I needed Madame X today, to help me feel poised, confident and calm.
It did a good job at that! :madamex:

Re: Peppermint Pig

Its time for the holiday perfumes, so out comes this oil from last year. Lets get one thing clear- this is not peppermint oil. There is peppermint in it, but its part of a delicous cinnamon and vanilla cookie, creating a fragrance that is cozy, unique and comfy to wear. Like a favorite holiday recip...

Re: Gingerwitch

So this may have been in last years Halloween scents list, but I'm just finally getting around to reviewing it. Something about ginger seems very wintery to me. This is gingerbread-ish, with a sweetness from the almond, and a solid grounding from the musk. It keeps away from being too foody, but it ...

Re: News In 2016

Oh no.
We have lost an artist, an inspiration, a friend, and an all around good egg.

I feel adrift and at a loss. I can only imagine what her family is going through. I wish them all the very best.

Re: Silver Lavender (Spring 2011)

My collection of the Silvers continues! Try alllll the Silvers! Just when I think that one of my lavender/ vanilla blends will end up tasting same-y, but boy if they don't all have a distinct personality. This isn't a sweet lavender, which I think we can attribute to the touch of sandalwood, and the...
