Your Perfumed Life with Possets and other Perfumeries

My first experience of indie perfumery was BPAL, back in 2004-5. I really loved it at first - the aesthetic, the concepts, the prices, which back then were very reasonable. The turn around time was, however, utterly abysmal (I think my first order took 3 months to arrive) - so I mostly bought from t...

Hustler?

"not only is it "tacky," but it is simply degrading to women. Perhaps the store itself is not, although I find that unlikely, but its umbrella corporation and magazine are highly degrading and perpetuate the humiliation of women and violence against women." Agreed. Hustler is jus...

Elixir of Heartlessness (Dreams of Avalon Exclusive)

Guinevere

Guinevere is all piercingly harsh clove to me and as such absolutely nauseating. I had a horrible, horrible reaction to it and nearly threw up. I don't get any sandalwood or any other hint of any other note at all. I am totally bummed.

Flossing

Flossing is absolutely gorgeous - the creamy white vanilla of Madame X with a lovely little kick of ginger. I've been searching for a ginger-based perfume oil since I used up a bottle of Origins' Ginger Essence a few years ago but all the ones I've tried have been either of the dry, overpowering, in...
