Pre Spring 2011

I didn't come here with an idea, but I love the following previous ideas: indian sweets, the tough independent chick fragrance, and Kama Sutra oil, plus the other side of testosterone. (Is that estrogen?)

and, for no reason, a dancing cat :1shimmykitty:

Books about perfume

Ooooh! Such a fascinating bit of info on the perfume industry (and the industrial revolution's influence on it)! I must pick up one of those Chandler Burr books.

Your Perfumed Life with Possets and other Perfumeries

simonetta.vespucci, I know. I have been thinking about that, whether I want to try and get some samples through eBay of something very expensive I might get addicted to. Thank god for indie perfume makers!

Your Perfumed Life with Possets and other Perfumeries

My fascination is starting to spread. I have had several clients at the pet hospital where I work come in, smelling divine, and "Jo Malone" was mentioned more than once.

BIKE. Oh.my.god. Fabienne, you really captured Steve McQueen's essence in a bottle. This fragrance is coooooool. Literally, too, because it's a light and refreshing scent to counter the sticky sugary vanilla scents of the holidays. It starts off a little Pine-Sol-esque right out of the bottle, but o...

Books about perfume

That makes me wonder, does anyone know if there are super-high-end fragrances that are truly 100% natural? Of course there are plenty of independent perfume makers like Fabienne who can produce 100% natural perfumes, but from what I read in Fast Food Nation, it appears that mass market fragrances pr...

My Sweet Kitty "Critic"

When I was younger my parents and I watched a documentary about cats where they talked about the "Flehman" face and ever since then, whenever a cat does it, my dad has called it the "Flaming Face". :rolling:

Books about perfume

Two lists that would keep you busy for years: Books for the Perfume-Obsessed and Book Reviews from Now Smell This! "A Scented Palace: The Story of Marie Antoinette's Perfumer" would be right up my alley. Kind of an aside, I have read "Fast Food Nation" several times, and in one c...

Siberia: Yes.

Re: Gloi, I love their pumpkin butter. It's really more of a rich-yet-light cream, and the body product samples are quite generous. I don't find the scents muddled, but they do seem to have elements in common with each other. They are either coconut, vanilla, or honey based.
