Re: The Field of Reeds

Almost all amber and paper. It smells like how I imagine papyrus being baked in the sun would smell -- hot and papery and brown. I really like this, even though it's not what I usually wear. The throw is quite good and lasts for a few hours, actually getting stronger after it dries.

Re: Great Psychiatrist of Babylon

I definitely appreciate this scent for the artistry, but boozy notes usually turn burnt on my skin and this was no exception. However, underneath the burnt note (which was actually not at all unpleasant in and of itself -- reminded me of creme brulee and barbeque, for some reason!), I could smell a ...

Re: Isabella

Sugared rose that isn't cloying or powdery in the least. Great layered with Dance With Me! The rose in this is fresh and pink, rather than red, but I wish it lasted longer. My skin just gobbles up rose notes, which is a shame because Possets roses are among the best in the biz.

Re: The Damned Flower

This isn't a scent that I would wear today, but it's definitely one that I want my mom to try, and will try to remember to re-visit in around 10 years :) That said, this is one of the most mature and well-blended Possets I've smelled so far. It smells like a fancy French perfume that would sell for ...

Re: Nocturne (Chopin)

This is not only my favorite Possets (of the 20+ that I've tried so far), but probably one of my favorite perfumes EVER. That said, it's a straightforward blend, so if either fir/pine or vanilla/Silver notes don't work on your skin, you might like this less. On me though, this is almost 50/50 fir an...

Re: Virginia-Humidity (USA collection)

The humid, lush florals white in this are gorgeous, but definitely "loud." There's also an almond-y note in here, weaving in and out of the dry-down, that I'm not a huge fan of (almond is a no-no for me), but it's definitely evocative.

Re: Nuut-The Goddess of the Sky

I love Possets' nature scents because they manage to be incredibly realistic without smelling "dirty." This is ideal for me because my favorite perfumes are green/cold/fir-based, but I prefer crystalline nature-based perfumes rather than ones that incorporate heavier notes like incense/dir...

Re: Dance With Me

I love this! This a simple blend but makes me happy just wearing it (also, the smallest application goes a long way, with very decent throw). Extremely realistic grapefruit note paired with signature Possets Silver/sugared note. Bright and juicy.

Re: Washington State (USA collection)

I was hoping this would be a primarily apple scent with undertones of honey/floral, but it's mainly honey/spices and florals with a faint snap of green apple. The apple note is gorgeous and I'll definitely be searching for it in other blends, but my skin amps the syrupy sweet honey a little too much...
