Bridal Veil (Valentines 2011/Dark Matter)

These were part of previous collections which didn't get voted into the Permanent Collection. They are beautiful and have their avid followings. You would be able to purchase them during a Retour, which Possets brings back all of the fragrances they have ever made and offers them for sale again for a limited time.

Bridal Veil (Valentines 2011/Dark Matter)

Post by warriortwo »

Isabella dreams of her wedding day, her commitment to Stewart. In a froth of orange blossom, neroli, and the scent of silk woven into the most sheer of chiffon which will veil her from all eyes until Stewart folds it back to reveal her to all as his wife. Astonishingly lovely, pure and simple yet complex as Victorian wedding raiment.

This starts off as a pale floral with a slight, but not unpleasant, sour tinge. Probably the silk. It does smell like a dry, smooth fabric scent. As that fades, it settles into a perfumey musk. It feels very "yellow" to me, like butter yellow. Nice, though not my style of perfume.
