The Girls Love to Go Clubbing (Midsummer 2007)

Ingredients can disappear and that means that the Possets which are made from those ingredients must disappear also. These are the blends to which we have to make a fond farewell.

I definitely got the cloves (I didn't know that's what it was, but now that I read it, I can definitely agree). The honey in this one was pretty much absent for me, and the smoke really didn't smell like cigarettes - mostly it was just cloves. Instead of a clubbing smell, this reminds me more of Renaissance Festivals, and how some of the shops smelled, especially those that sold incense.

On me this reminds me of wild honey with a kind of medicinal tang to it - perhaps a honey from heather? It's quite herbal, although I don't really get the cloves scent. The honey is very, very true. I'm not sure I would wear it, but I think it's a very well constructed scent, and one honey lovers should try as it does something quite different from the usual 'sweet honey' scent.

These "The Girls Love -" scents are not at all complex to me, just two or three notes blended very well. This one is strong clove and honey, and that's all. I used to chew cloves as breathmints when I was a wee lass, and Fabienne has perfectly captured the smell - pure clove, not at all incense-y to me. The honey alternates between just adding a sweetness to the edges of the clove and actually smelling like 'honey.' I love it!

How did I miss this one? Just read the reviews and I need to try it asap. All The Girls I've smelt so far have been delish.

I wish the Girls series worked on me, especially this one as I adore clove.
I love all of them in the bottle and for about the first ten minutes on my skin, but then they turn bad, oh so very bad and I wind up with the mother of all headaches.

omigosh! This is delicious. Is this the same honey note that's in all The Girls because in this one it smelly creamier, juicier, mouth-watering. I love clove too. Clove and honey is all I detect but that is all it needs. I can't get enough of this one. I think I'll be getting a full bottle in the near future.

And Rachel2205 - the reason it makes you think of medicine is that Beechams Powders (flu med in the UK) smells of clove :)

This is by far my hands down favorite of The Girls series. The smokiness in the honey note that I amp to high heaven pairs perfectly with the clove. This smells like clove cigarettes mixed with the wafting aroma of honey. It's thick and heavy and delicious. It's an evening out (or an evening in) perfume, and not one I'd wear every day, but something I'd wear when I wanted to feel confident and brash. It's such a wonderfully thick scent on my skin and lasts and lasts and lasts. This one is bottle worthy.

Wow! Really liked this and the closest I (w/help fr bf) got to identifying some indivdual scents.
First, in the bottle and on my skin, I got a very clear picture of my dentist's office: CLOVES!
Then, college bf: PATCHOULI!
A sparkly scent, a real pick-me-up!
