Ingredients can disappear and that means that the Possets which are made from those ingredients must disappear also. These are the blends to which we have to make a fond farewell.
Adding the Possets description: "Much beloved since 2006, Fireflies rises again in a pother of sweetness, citrus, humidity and languid gauziness. This is a fragrance light enough to wear without cloying on the most humid of evenings. It is tart enough to fit in a silver scent locket and be at ease, it is sweet enough to lift your spirits. I do recommend that Fireflies be worn in a scent locket around your neck and not pursued too hysterically. It is really charming. Characteristics: Light, vanilla, citrus, cooling, summery, feminine, scent locket. Minty, foody, gourmand, sweet."
If you can't be a success, be a spectacular failure!
From my very well aged bottle, Fireflies is one of those magical Possets blends that's foody, yet manages to win me over (much like Flossing and Luminaria). Orange and a buttery vanilla give a definite cakey vibe, with just a slight suggestion of mint, all warmed up and made delightful with soft amber and spice. It's a comfort scent that I like putting on before bed, so I can drift off to sleep with a smile. Sad that this old classic is discontinued, and I'm very glad I have my bottle.
