Yeah, I usually use the gentle bend and twist, sometimes with a papertowel to provide extra grip like Petticoats mentioned.

I've occasionally had vials that were hard to open, and what I do is get a tissue or paper towel, fold it once or twice, and use it to grab the top, then bend the top a little to one side (or rock it a little from side to side) as I pull. The paper towel serves as a cushion that lets me grip the top a lot tighter than I can with bare fingers (because that can really hurt), and somehow bending the top a little as you pull can help unseat it. The paper towel will also protect you a little if the top comes out so suddenly that some of the oil comes out. Good luck!
This is exactly what I do as well. I had one break on me once, and I realized I was putting more pressure on the glass than I realized, and from then on I switched to using paper towel or a thin soft cloth. Another thing you can do is gently put a butter knife (or any other dull form of knife) between the plastic and the glass and wiggle it all the way around, in a slight up and down but also side to side action. This can help release the plastic a little, and can make it a touch easier then to grip it with a paper towel or cloth.
If you can't be a success, be a spectacular failure!

I just talked with my nerd and it seems that he is going to be going on vacation soon for a week! :gaah: Wow, I had no idea. So I have been rushing around madly to finish up the website (folks, I am on the road and I am using a tiny tiny computer and a LOT of experience to pull this off...it is a real, well, exhilarating moment...quite a few days sooner than I thought it would be).

What does this mean for you? Well, at the very least, the old site will be coming down sooner than anticipated. I am not too sad about that as I had just extended it for a couple of days due to the vagaries of computer work. If anyone really    really cannot live without one of the perfumes from the Georgetown Cocktail Party and they tell me before June 21, then I will go ahead and make provisions. Don't worry, I do that, you know.

The site may go live sooner than anticipated and then again I may find out how to keep it behind a maintenance sign until I am back and ready to field problems and questions (I can't do that when I am 35,000 feet in the air). So, I just need a bit of time and space. I will make it happen and no one should be disappointed.

I will keep you posted when I know more.

Well today is a feh day. I had to go for physical therapy (ow!) and that takes forever. It is doing me a lot of good but it is a long and drawn our process. Then I have to go to Costco now, then back again and to the office. Sheesh, I didn't have to do half of this running around when I was working for "the man" at G.E. Wish I could be in two places at once. :gaah:

But there will be :maily: :maily: :maily: :maily:

Gah! Should've waited another 14 hrs to place my order, then I would've included this....
