Possets' description: Strong, powerful...like a choir of celestial beings. Clove and vetiver, basil and a light kiss of violet. A strong camphor musk rounds out the blend. Not for the faint of heart. Was specially made to "degrade gracefully" as you wear it and yet retaining its lovely character.

In bottle: wow, this is stunning and very interesting! Strong and striking, more femme than I’d expected (yay!), and really attractive. This reminds me of another Posset, but I can’t think what. One of the summers, maybe? The camphor may be part of what's familiar.

Wet on skin and drying down: mmm, I’m liking this! Dramatic, strong, a bit bracing. Not my usual type, a bit unisex, but enjoyably bold. I'm terrible at picking out notes, but the effect of the whole is dramatic.

Later, well dried down, unfortunately my skin seems to be fighting it--I'm getting a soapiness now. Up to this point it's been great.

I'd say if you know you like the notes, give this a try. It's distinctive.

Petticoats, you and I seem to have a similar skin chemistry, and likes an dislikes in smellies. I am interested in this one too. Just wondering how strong is the violet? I am not much for florals, but violet seems to tolerate me more.

Violet sometimes tends to trample over other notes for me, and it didn't seem to do that here, so it may be that it's less prominent than the other notes. Unfortunately, after the initial test my chemistry made this go soapy forever after, so I don't really have any helpful insight to offer. I'm sorry.

I worry about the soapy too, violet can do that to me. I think I'll put this one on the "not now" list. Thanks Petticoat.
