Gauze Screen (from A Haiku collection, summer 2013)

Post by Maya »

Possets' description: "Mimicking the divine and elusive fragrances which tickle your mind in the sill of a perfect evening, an osmanthus-like sugary note marries with a bit of peach and rhubarb and a drop of lime. There is a feel to this of silver (the Silver fragrances from Possets). Quite romantic, lightly foody but in a come-hither way..on a moonlit night."

It was really hard to write the descriptions for these and not sound like an attempted haiku. Sometimes I was more successful than others.

It would be hard to avoid being influenced by the poems. "Knee deep in moonbeams" has to be one of the most beautiful phrases ever set to paper. I think I'll start working it into my everyday conversation.

LOL!

Siren on my tail,
Red lights flashing in the dark
"Officer, you're cute!"

(Descending from the sublime to the ridiculous, me.)
