Christine de Pizan
Possets' description: "One of the first champions of women's rights in an age when they were little more than chattel, Christine was literate and wrote a book called The City of Women which was an allegorical account of the argument for women to be treated as equals to men. It was mocked in the famous Romance of the Rose but the famous Bocaccio agreed with and publicised the thoughts of Christine in his works as well. I learned that the name of her land was Feminia. Shot through with neroli and finished off with citrus and a bright white musk (unlike any other I have in my possession). This is a bright and inspiring scent, youthful and spring like, but with a good deal of power."

Re: Christine de Pizan
Well shucks, it looks like I am the first the review this. The pressure is on.
In the bottle: I get some citrus, and something sharp and slightly aquatic (I'm not quite sure what neroli smells like, is this it?)
Wet: Avon perfume, you know the type that came in those collectible bottles? But then something else, more citrus-y, rescues things. For a moment things veer off into funky orange/citrus town but come back just in time. I was very unsure about keeping this perfume at this point.
Dry: Things have deepened a bit (musk, is this your doing?), along with an aquatic-like citrus backing.
Final thoughts: This isn't my usual fare as far as perfumes go, I admit I really got this for the name. I am intrigued by this, I really like the musky-citrus-ness of this scent. I'll give this more time and see if I can identify the individual notes.

"Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don’t plan it, don’t wait for it, just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair or two cups of good hot black coffee." -Twin Peaks

Testing for Retour, decant from Ajevie:
This is definitely not a scent for the faint of heart; it's bright and loud and powerful!! I originally picked it up for the citrus note but it turned out to be more bitter than I expected, like citrus rinds instead of fruit. In the bottle I mostly get what I refer to as "crushed walnut" scent. On the skin it starts out with the bitter citrus paired with a lovely musk but unfortunately after about ten minutes it goes soapy on me. (One day I will figure out what this walnut death note is!! /shakes fist) I wish I could offer a better review but apparently my skin chemistry for this one is a big NOPE! If you like bold, spicy-type scents though, this may be your cup of tea.
