Boudicca, regarding "The Water Burns" I gave my sample away to a cousin, but what comes to mind with it in memory is that it was a blend of salt water type aquatic with an overlay of smoke. There was a delicate herbal fragrance underlying it, but my main impression is the aquatic and the smoke. It's very distinctive and unique, as so many of Fabienne's creations are.

Thank you, marisaviola!
Aquatics can be tricky for me, but smoke & me are buds, lol! So, I'm torn.

My memory of it is that it was not a really strong perfume--I think on me it was not really long-lasting on my skin. My feeling about it was it is a wonderful experiential scent, like a scent portrait of a moment in literary history and myth. Similarly, "Seamus Heaney-In Gallarus Oratory" did that for me, I love the peat and stone aspect of it--again, a really quiet fragrance and one that I more would wear as an experience of spirit of place, not so much as a personal scent. A lot of Christopher Brosius's fragrances do this for me as well. Fabienne was really talented with this type of work.

Placed one last order. Got a backup of haiku chrysanthemum, which is just a lovely cool scent, plus I went for bottles of Jane Small, Leda and the swan, and the Rubaiyat. Here's hoping they work on me :)

Hi everyone, one year later...another Summer Retour! I thought I would check in and see if anyone is on the forum!
I hope that everyone is having a good summer. I ordered a few Summer Retour decant samples from Angi at ajevie.com and also some samples from the Possets Lunar Walk collection, so am excited to try these. I also have been re-visiting my Possets decant samples from the previous year's Summer Retour, and am deciding what I might need a full bottle of!

These are some of my favorite collections--Two favorites are the Sicilian Seduction and the Summer of Elegance ones.

Hi marisaviola! And everybody! I haven't been on here in a long time. Just popping in to say hello! I did place an order for Paisley, I remember trying it ages ago and always wanted to smell it again. Such a great deal at half off! I also bought My Love Is Like a Red Red Rose, basically on a whim. Rose scents don't always work for me but sometimes I'm just in the mood for a good rose. I'm really excited to try both!

So great to hear from you, Forspecial! I have tried Paisley in the past and really liked it, and got some Woodstock collection decants from Ajevie.com so I'm really looking forward to experiencing those. I'm excited that Possets is growing and continuing. I've been eyeing various ones on the Summer Retour, have yet to push the final buttons and buy yet, but I know that August is drawing to a close, so must do it soon...
