It really seems like Joani welcomed us all and helped us feel at home when we first joined the forum. I was a true newbie when I joined in summer of 2013, both to perfume oils and to perfumes in general. She even helped give me a sense of how the Fragrantica forum operated.

I just discovered there was a new Cambienne, which I think Boudicca would have also loved--Tiger Queen! It has taken Boudicca and added on some lavenders that sound gorgeous!

I'm very happy that I can also log into the forum today--for awhile it would not let me. So very good to connect with everyone who might be reading today.

Hello everyone, long time, no see. I was reached out to via my personal email only to find our beloved Joani had passed away. Joani was like the Phial of Galadriel, a light in the dark places we all walk, despite her having walked one of the darkest paths of losing your loved one. She was a firecracker, a force. And her name here Boudicca suited her. She and I (I would love to think shared personality traits, I mean to be like her...would be such an honor) shared a love of many of the same notes in our perfume oils, especially Possets leather notes. Howl is one of my all time favorites and I'll be wearing that in honor of her. I am also buying the sent named for and inspired by her. I do love Tiger Queen's notes, but lavender is always an iffy proposition (it can go horribly wrong smelling all soapy) and amber can go to "potato". I'll have to think on that one.

It is funny, or rather it is wonderous, amazing, incredible and fantastic how things work. Today is Solstice, longest day and shortest night and it's a New Moon (best time for manifesting things you want or need). I needed to come back here, to re-connect with you all. To come...home. If you want, I'll share my journey (what's been happening while I was away-all who wander are not lost), I've missed you all. And the magic that flows in the universe manifested the email I needed to see that it was just waiting for me.

It is so wonderful to see you again on the forum, and thank you so much for the beautiful tribute to Boudicca! Also, thank you for your lovely Solstice message. I would love to connect more with our friends here, and I've reached out to several to let them know we are online and posting on the forum.

I am excited for the summer Retour to begin and to get to see those old friends again, I would have to say this time of year contain some of my favorite collection of Fabienne's...the Sicilian Seduction collection and the Summer of Elegance. The past few years, Tom and Jennie have also created some great blends, such as the Woodstock collection. They also have one that is mentioned in their newsletter called "The Scent of Love" that they created for a friend that I am dying to try. I am really excited about the Cambiennes, also! I'll probably get the lavender one, so we'll have to compare notes!

I just noticed on the front page of the forum it says that today is Fabienne's birthday!

Happy birthday, Fabienne! We miss you so much! And we're so grateful we still have your beautiful perfumes!

Happy birthday dear Fabienne. I know you are in another room, not far. And one day I'll see you again. But you are missed. Your perfumes live on so that a part of you does too every time we wear them or share them.
